HAPPY 2022! LET"S HOPE...

What a year 2021 was.

I lost my best friend Luis in July to cancer, my other bestie was able to finally get married in October, and COVID has taken away some loved ones too. I ended up out of commission with COVID myself for Christmas and I'm counting my blessings. I'm hoping that as we enter 2022, we can put all the darkness behind us and look toward brighter days. I have been thinking of life and it's precious value and have decided to scale back on some of my Farmer's Markets this year and dedicate more of those weekends to family & travel. I think I tossed myself into my regular job and the bake shoppe so hard last year, that I lost focus on some of the important stuff in life. When you loose people, you're sadly reminded that our time here really is so short. The money doesn't last, but the memories do. My resolution for 2022 is to continue to pursue my bake shoppe, but to do so with extra care. No more overextending myself! I'm sure many of you feel this way too. We work, take care of the kiddos & family and forget about ourself sometimes.

Aside from the sad parts of last year, I truly had one of my best years in business. I made over 110 custom cakes, many, many Jumbo cookies & cupcakes, had a wonderful French Hens Market season and rounded out the year with HOT COCOA BOMB events selling over 1,000 bombs! I'm so grateful to all of the downtown Morris boutiques & shops who welcome me for their year-round events.... Apple Butter / Shugies, Happy Daisy Art Studio, Montage Wine Bar, Rosie O'Grady's and the Morris Retail Association. THANK YOU!!!

The biggest THANK YOU goes out to YOU -- my clients! Without you and your referrals, I wouldn't be here doing what I love. CHEERS to 2022. May it be the best year yet.

xoxo
